I'd love to see anti personal mine fields and an engineer that can disable them....

I agree. Especially russians use a lot of AP mines deployed from aircraft; we were often warned about those in the army.

It would be also nice to see new AT mines, such as electrical mines which can be set to activate for example on the fourth time a vehicle drives over it.

For example these might make good addons:

the models of 2 ap mines are already in the data3d.pbo, but they cant be used like a addon just like the AT mines so it has to be done with a script

Yeah, I just found a model of AP mine from the editor, but it's totally messed up. It shakes, bumps and you can get in as pilot biggrin.gif Strange. Any idea how to make it to act like a normal static object?

OFPEC has great ap-mine script (called "ap-mine" I think). You just place a trigger and call the script, which has a random feature so the victim is sometimes just wounded (severely), sometimes dies, and damage lessens as radius expands so guys nearby get less. Fantastic.

I wanted an actual mine instead of just invisible nothing, and after no success with the built-ins as you guys mentioned, I made my own. I have no addon skills, so I did it quick and dirty, but I think it's quite workable: my mine uses the handgrenade as a texture. Sounds goofy, but when you place the dummy mine, just the top of the grenade shows, and it looks like a 3 fingered trigger on some ap mines. It's hard to see from all angles, and distance makes it disappear (depends on vid cards, too). But now it gives a more realistic look (buried mine) and a soldier half a chance.

Yes I would also be interested in see it..

We could possivbly take his idea and add it to the already AP mines (models) in the game.. to have them work with the script.
