Recommended Posts

Using the launcher with 3rd party addons is

problematic no?

I have the packs but i cant get them in

line in the launcher...

Everyone is "unrecognised"...

So...

Is there a 1.2.3 step explanation on how to

do this and dont come with playwith6, thats

NOT what im asking about....

Actually no it isnt...

1: It doesnt say OPEN LAUNCHER

it says: start game...

But then again the launcher open when i click that...

2: When i click the mods there is nothing there.. AND YES, there are actually mods/addons

in my drive at the location i have chosen.

3: when i click mods in parameter i can chooese location

of the mods, but that doesnt help either...

1: The launcher is the default action for the steamshortcut (so if your not using your own made shortcut to Arma.exe, the launcher should start when starting the game from steam)

2: Your modlist is empty? Try the following then.

- In the upperright corner of the Launcher there's a gear icon (click it).

- Add your arma3 folder (or where you've placed the mods) to the MODmanagement folders.

- Check if your mods show up on de Mods page/tab

3: Leave the mod parameter empty if using above setting. It's not needed.

You're using the Arma3Launcher now or the default (bi launcher)? :)

I dont even use the launcher, I use this http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19582

and have no issues, and can switch between Arma3 and Arma2CO too, as well as have multiple mod profiles.

Whilst I think the A3 Launcher should copy the idea of having all the mods listed in one box, with another box showing the currently enabled mods for a profile, so that we don't have to scroll through a massive list looking for stuff when we want to temporarily disable stuff, IMO a better launcher than that one was Spirited Machine's ArmA II Game Launcher http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241&highlight=A2%2BLAUNCHER

It likewise had one box for Available addons and another for those added to the current profile but also had the great groups feature, so that several mods could be grouped and quickly disabled/enabled with one click, which was great for testing and just disabling all sound mods for example. The ability to hide mods from the Available list was great as well and meant we didn't need to move them to another folder to hide them.

It's a bit depressing when BIS doesn't recognise these great ideas and gives us a much less user friendly and less useful official launcher.
