How to return old arma 2 crosshair in arma 3?

Recommended Posts

I dont like the current arma 3 crosshair and would like the classic one, since a lot of people like me have been playing it from 2001 and it never changed, they shouldnt have changed it in the first place. So yeah, how to change it to the ones in either arma 1 or 2.

As its not possible (as far as I'm aware anyway), to do this within the default game, your best bet is to post HERE.

On a side note, I think the crosshair was changed to be more in line with the "industry standard" as the new version better displays dispersion of fired rounds and such.

@OP: Deadfast made a tiny (10KB) mod that makes the A3 crosshairs much easier to see against light backgrounds. I found it made a big improvement, it might at least partially solve your issue.

@ Jackal - Thanks, i did hope someone made a mod but i know my way around the folders and pbos so if someone made it or knows how , please reply :)

@Orcinus - Thats improves the default one by quite a lot, i wonder why it isnt like that from the start if they decided to do the four lines crosshair in the first place. Great work

Yes, Deadfast did a good job there. I also fiddled around with the in-game settings menu & changed the colours so the crosshair is red, now it's really easy to see as are waypoints, Haven't been able to work out how to change the user waypoints from often-invisible white, though. Bizzare choice IMO.
