Adding weapon to Commander Seat

Is there a way to add a weapon to just the commander's seat on say an IFV? I am wanting to add a laser des (via init script is fine), I've done the addweapon and it always gives it to the gunner

Try something like this.

In the init of the vehicle put:

(commander this) addWeapon "LaserDesignator";
