ya, PK strapped to the wing, and a grenade dispencer!

They had them in WW1, very cool, hehe!

Should be nice for killing some infantry!

Kanyak need textures? I have some awesome ones from an FS2002 Porter Pilatus, inside & outside super high res they are really great

And good work on the cropduster !

another step closer now.....I finished the spray equipment and just wondering how I can get a hold of Kegetys....anybody?

Just send a Private Message (PM) to him through this forum. He usually checks this forum often so he should get your message. You could also download his Lynx addon, De-PBO it and mess around with the smoke generator on it to see if you can figure out how to put something like it on your crop duster.

In the readme for his addon he gives some clues for how to use it on other vehicles. He wrote this:

"To use the vehicle, accelerate and keep the fire button

down to release smoke clouds. Note that the smoke gets

drifted by wind, so favourable wind can make the smoke

not to get spread out as expected.

Added classnames:

KEGM113Lynx - The Armored M113 with the SGS

KEGSmokeGenerator - The smoke generator "dummy" weapon

!note! You _cannot_ add the smoke generator to other

vehicles by just adding the KEGSmokeGenerator weapon to it

because the weapon is just a dummy weapon that fires nothing,

the smoke is generated by the vehicle's gun barrel smoke."

So in other words it sounds like Keg is saying that in order to use the smoke generator the vehicle has to have a gun on it which actually generates the smoke. I hope that helps some.

I have integrated the spray into the plane (yes the fire button) and I must say it looks #@$$%#% KOOL....I got grabs and I'll post it as soon as I found some webspace for the pics.....some limitations.....because of the need for a muzzle it can only have one point for the origin of dispersion

...Usti hlavne in memory LOD. Anyone for suggestions? nevertheless it looks like a true "duster" rather than spraying, but I gotta find a way around this....if You know a friend good with scripting (maybe that's the way to go), would you please point him/her to this thread for a lookie lookie maybe someone will be interested in givin' it a brainstorm. any input appreciated......

Wow! That's awesome! That's a good question about having multiple outlets for the smoke. That might be a OFP game engine limitation, but even if it is and you can only have one point of smoke, I still think that it will look VERY cool.

Now the million dollar question:

Will the AI use it? Perhaps get the "hemp" addon and make a field...then stick some Resistance fighters in the field with them set to "Friendly to East". Then see if the pilot attacks the soldiers with smoke. That might look very cool for cut-scene movies.

Likewise perhaps a trigger could be made to cause the AI pilot to fire the smoke over regular fields to simulate a civilian crop duster spraying his crops....and then showing a HIND blasting him. smile.gif

well.....the model needs only the two doors and the little hangers that hold the spraybars up to the wing. So yes basically the model is ready. the textures are very bad but I have no time right now to fix. the smokey stuff looks ok for ver 0.9something so YES it is VERY CLOSE .... I have no webspace so if you want it I'll mail it PBO size with textures and all 1.3 megz the model is about 1500 faces....

the smoke system is installed as of Kegetys Lynx smoke generator.....so that you can press the fire button to release the smoke. I have been tuning it for the last couple of days through cpp so it'll fly right. Cuz it's a talidragger weighin' in at almost 3 tons, it is tricky to get her to land properly. next is the AI controlled smoke. I guess I could use a script with the DoFire command to trigger the smoke. I dunno if it'll attack enemy with smoke (not too real unless you wanna lay down a mist of nerve gas hehehehe). But anyhow the AI won't go below 90 $%&^%*& meters so it would look silly. I looked into the drop command, which would be the perfect solution but unfortunatelly I ain't got Resistance YET.

The 1.85 patch will enable flyInHeight for planes, too, so you should be able to get them to fly lower real soon.

That's so cool! I can't wait to use it in some drug war missions spraying coca fields simulated using the "hemp" addon!

all depends on how anxious you are to get it. like I said before it has NO weapons on it yet..(probably gonna be a while)..SMOKE ONLY. so you can't really use it in combat.

and now I'm splitting my limited spare time between this puppy and a beast of a drop ship from aliens..(see in the project section)

but for just flying....lemme know and I'll e-mail it to ya

yeah, that dropship would be a cool thing, but surrely its easy to spin one plate on a stick, than spinning two!

just get this out'a the way, we've been waiting quite a while!

Well the model will be released as public beta for now 1.46 ofp ver was tested maybe someone can optimize for res? Link will be posted to the D/L page here in this thread as soon as we get the site sorted.(maybe today smile.gif )

Ok i am still working on the site for zippyo but i am uploading the beta for the cropduster just got some pics of the dropship ingame from zippyo ill upload them later to i am going to make the beta in a .zip file with the pbo and a readme giveing credits to zip and the unoffical stuff blah blah expext the beta up with in a hour ill post the link here and the site done in a few more hours
