Session Lost

Hello. I have been getting session lost on every server i try to join since friday. I've done everything that posts said to do i dont know anymore please help

Is your game Disc, digital, or steam version?

Is it patched to the latest version of the game (if on steam it will be patched to latest)

you running any mods?

does the servers you are trying to join require mods but you dont have those mods?

What is the color of the dot next to the server listing for you before you try to join it?

I have steam version, yes i am patched, and iv'e tried with and without mods, and same with servers, and some are green, some are yellow tried them all

i also have look through a lot of other posts but nothing like i have

EDIT: and by rtp is that like teamspeak skype and stuff? i have no clue sorry i use those if that matters

Rpt is a log file generated by the game every time you start it, it will everything for the game including any errors or issues you are having be it sp or mp,

for steam you can find it here:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA

username is your name.

Rpt opens with notepad, just double click it it should open, select all copy and paste it here in pastebin--> http://pastebin.jonasscholz.de/1478

for this just paste your rpt in the box and set the time at the bottom for 1 day, enter your name and you will see a a button for download showup at the top,

right click that button and copy link location, post the link here.

Rpt dont really say much, I seen a tiny listing for Dayz in there, are you trying to join Dayz servers without the required mods for it?

mostly tried vanilla but also tried dayz with the right mods and even tried without and still says session lost

I can't see your RPT file.. but if this happens EVERY time you join a server I would try a re-install of Arma 3 (if you haven't already).

What I notice is the exe timestamp is consistently 09/19 (Friday) when you say the trouble started. Perhaps a bad update occurred on an exe?

I don't know where that exe timestamp originates from. Is it the game engine exe, or some other thing....?

Maybe try moving the game engine exe to another folder and verifying cache/ redownloading. If it works you know it was bad game engine. If it doesn't work, put the old one back.

It's just an observation, like I said I don't know where the exe timestamp is being pulled from.

well, i moved it and created a new exe and still happening. and in then rpt theres looped for animation. what is that?

I persistently have that as well, and haven't had it affect gameplay (yet) so I think it's likely a common nuisance error.

I suspect whatever the problem is would be somehow related to whatever generates the exe timestamp, but I just don't know what it would be. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Just looked at my own .rpt and it generates "Exe timestamp: 2014/07/16". That was around the time I purchased 1.63 on Steam. I opt out on betas but have the game automatically update.

yeah ignore the loop animation stuff that is standard BIS spam

Can you post up another RPT file after your re-install? Make sure it is 'clean' - ie: delete the one there now and startup your game.. try to join.. etc. Then post that RPT.

Fixed it by just doing a fresh install on my computer
