XOIIO 10 Posted July 13, 2014 This is proving extremely, extremely frustrating, I spend a good hour setting up a nice looking base, including a fence around most of the perimeter, I click save, and bam, stuff is skewed, moved, and overlapping. I look and see that it is a problem, so I go in again and follow the tips that someone gave, saving after each item, not saving more than one but still, whenever I save stuff moves or gets tilted or set askew, no matter what I try! I figured maybe it's because I am building on a bit of an incline, but even on level ground stuff gets moved around. I have that jon-c5 editor update, is there another that fixes this, or some third party editor? I don't know what it is but I can't make anything without stuff moving, yet I see people making small towns and military bases, I can't imagine they go through and reposition everything every time they save. (and even then it would not work for me, it saves them all messed up). How on earth do I do this?
Joe98 92 Posted July 13, 2014 I have that jon-c5 editor update, I have just the plain vanilla editor and I don't have that problem.
Mirek 166 Posted July 14, 2014 Problem occurs in "alt+E" 3DEditor i suppose? Just save, then reposition moved objects, and save again. It is not to hard to do, and after second save things doesnt move. I do this whenever i finnish placing around 8-10 objects. Also the problem occurs only for some objects Sandbags, roadblocks, roads etc. Another bit more convoluted way is to open Mission.biedi and mission.sqf (or was it sqm?) and make sure that the objects have same coords in both, before saving. f2k sel 164 Posted July 14, 2014 I've not messed with 3d-editor but what if you saved the base first using object grabber to make a composition.

Saving them moving it doesn't work for me unfortunatly, and yes, it is the 3d editor. I think that the mission files might be the only way for me to do it. ---------- Post added at 18:37 ---------- Previous post was at 18:36 ---------- I've not messed with 3d-editor but what if you saved the base first using object grabber to make a composition. Interesting idea, I haven't messed with the editor much but maybe that would help. It's large objects that move, like houses and shipping containers, maybe if they were "connected" to the smaller objects it would help. I'll have to test that out, but right now I'm playing with my new Geiger counter
