1para{god-father} 105 Posted June 13, 2014 I have exported my Shapes to imagery and have put that on my Sat mask , but when I look at some places it is just off , any idea why ? And then in a lot of places it is spot on ! Example https://www.dropbox.com/s/wrg6gd509gcq7j1/roads.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/bnj4kbyn0hr3lvx/roadok.png Any ideas ? Fogu 10 Posted June 13, 2014 Maybe it has something to do with the Blue Edge from V3
1para{god-father} 105 Posted June 13, 2014 I would not think the Blue Edge is relevant on Shape imagery export ?is that not just in V3 is it still in TB ? but most of the time it is lined so if it was Blue edge it would all be out of line !
egilsandfeld 7 Posted June 13, 2014 God-Father that is because the road part of Arma makes curved roads between vertices. That means if there are a long distance between two vertices it could curve out because of the vertices before these two. Try highlighting that roads, right click and adding some more vertices. That will put the road on top of the road mask. I have this issue myself, but I rather have this and then curved roads than sharp roads :)

badluckburt 78 Posted June 13, 2014 A more precise contour of the road appears on the in-game map, you can take a screenshot of that and if your satmap has any reference points easily scale it to the original size, paint your roads on a separate layer and overlay them on the original. I haven't gotten to that stage yet but that's how I plan to do it. It would be nice if they added an 'interpolated' option to export the curved version though :)
