ZiR's head collection

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

just wanted to tell you that I'm working on the first addon I will eventually release.

It's a Facepack titled "Algiers to Zanzibar"

Since BIS failed to deliver more than 3 African faces, I decided to add some of my own. All faces were created with Photoshop CS6 with the help of AlexWestins's Head Templates and are all currently featuring NOHQ and SMDI maps.

I will release this pack as soon as I have a tolal number of 10 heads and managed to correct the last few mistakes. Shouldn't take too long

The pack will receive patch-support past release as long as it is neccessary, while I will take up work on Facepack #2 featuring middle eastern heads.

As far as the quality goes, please don't expect too much for the first release. I'm still learning.

Anyway. Here's the first screenshot.

I'll keep you up to date. :D

I hope the packs take into account the different kind of regional aspects of races. For example, Africa isn't 100% deep black and there are quite a few whities in the Middle East (I'm Armenian and white, for example.) But there are still features that go across all or most of the ethnicities/races.

Yepp, I will definitely consider that. I am fully aware of the fact that a Somali looks absolutely different then a Boswanan, who would never been taken for an Egyptian. I intend to solve this problem by defining identities. If an add-on maker decides to use my face pack for his African Army/Civilians/Rebels, he will be able to choose between a couple preset identities like North/West/East African.

I have never defined Identities before however, so no promises. I'll tell you if it worked out as soon as I finished that part of the cfg.

Speaking of whities in the middle east btw,

All 3 of ArmA3's "Iranians" look like Moroccans or Lybians rather then Iranians IMHO. I will also take this into consideration when I make the Middle-East face pack.
