GrumpyRhino 30 Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Intervention Despite their intention to stay out of the escalating conflict on Altis, NATO decides to intervene when an AAF outpost is in danger of being overrun. The enemy you will be fighting is a large drug cartel. While the cartel lack military experience, they have a seemingly endless supply of mercenaries. In this mission you will play as a combat medic. Stay safe and focus on keeping your squadmates alive. The gameplay is depending on the AI-squadleaders to make good decisions. Playthroughs can vary as a result of different ways the AI-squadleader decides to attack the enemy. Sometimes with awfull defeats as a result, and sometimes with excellent victory. First autosave is when the insertion helicopters have left the area. Second autosave is when you complete the first objective. Because of the unitplays, manual saving will not be enabled until first objective is completed. Required Mods: NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz Weapons Here Arma 2 US Helicopters import Here Steam: Intervention I plan on including this in a coming campaign. Some of the entries in the briefing are meant as part of a backstory behind this conflict. Edited May 16, 2014 by GrumpyRhino Updated to match latest mission version. neofit 65 Posted May 15, 2014 There is only one save in the mission. Once the insertion helicopters have left the area, the game will save. When you get killed you won't have to sit through the inflight again. There is indeed no saving in the mission even with unlimited saves enabled in the game settings. Not interested. GrumpyRhino 30 Posted May 16, 2014 There is indeed no saving in the mission even with unlimited saves enabled in the game settings. Not interested. It's not because I don't want players to save their game, it's because there are unitplays running. Loading from a save made during a running unitplay will mess up the mission. However, I redesigned the mission so that saving is now possible, but not until the first half of the mission is done. When the tower is secure the game will autosave. After that point saving is enabled. It's the best I can do.
Kommiekat 12 Posted May 16, 2014 This is one hell of an action pack game. I really enjoyed this mission lots. The choppers you choose were great. The only problem, too short. I was enjoying myself too much. Please consider making this a bit more drawn out and longer. Maybe have the action start further away from the last part of the mission and action packed full of stuff as team makes its way to the last standing bad guys going from point to point, zig zagging up. Really nice mission. Congrats!
GrumpyRhino 30 Posted May 18, 2014 Thank you for the feedback Kommiekat. :) Please consider making this a bit more drawn out and longer. Maybe have the action start further away from the last part of the mission and action packed full of stuff as team makes its way to the last standing bad guys going from point to point, zig zagging up. I have to keep my missions short, otherwise I would loose track of all the triggers. Ind the future I hope to be skilled enough to create longer missions.
