npk 16 Posted April 27, 2014 Hello all - I've been having an issue with the difficulty settings on my server after the latest patch. I've just tried (once again) doing as the Kelly's Heroes A3 Server guide instructs, and I've tried a variety of other methods and even using other peoples difficulty settings copied straight over. But the settings just won't work on the server, the crosshair will display and enemies will still show up on the map. Nothing I've done has helped so far. Any pointers as to what I might have been doing wrong all along. In the example above, the default.arma3profile will be located in: ...\ArmA3\default\users\default\default.arma3profile. This is what I have just done, and I've put "-profiles=default" in my commandline. I've tried adding the full filename with extension, and pointed it to the exact directory before, but no luck. Hope one of you brilliant minds can help me, because it's most likely something stupid I've done wrong.
Rath 10 Posted April 28, 2014 Sounds like it is using one of the other difficulty settings as default... like you set up veteran the way you want but it is defaulting to regular. Try tweaking the regular settings and see what happens.
terox 316 Posted April 28, 2014 either remove the -profile switch or point it to the correct directory. Best useage is to point it to the directory of the arma3server.exe that you are using. Check this thread out http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147537-Tutorial-How-to-run-ArmA3-on-a-dedicated-server your path to the directory for the arma3profile will then be DRIVE:\Folder\arma3server.exe DRIVE:\Folder\USERS\USERNAME\ where username will either be Administrator or System, dependant on how you start the server.exe
