Tom_48_97 523 Posted April 23, 2014 @Rektavu: Please, run the diag script and post the result http://tom4897.info/?attachment_id=2238 @Yuma: I get your diag report ;)
Tom_48_97 523 Posted April 24, 2014 After some dozens of aspirins, result is: it seems that devP works on some workstation and not on others... So, here a hot fix that should work for everyone. I invite every people who has problems with DevP and/or MapDisk to download and test this version, next, to tell here if it works or not. The <experimental> hot fix is here: http://tom4897.info/?attachment_id=2240 Just extract (& replace existing files) in your Arma 3 Tools directory. Thanks for your patience ;)

ZeroSix 10 Posted April 30, 2014 For me, it dosn´t work with the latest fix... devP.rpt: ===================================================================== == DevP.bat == Params: Current time: 30.04.2014 10-33-42,57 ===================================================================== Arma 3 path is E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Arma 3 Tools path is E:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Arma 3 Tools\ ArmAWorkPath Registry entry is missing, now adding it Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet. 0 /!\ CRITICAL ERROR 3 /!\ DevP was unable to find your P Drive ACTION CANCELLED
Tom_48_97 523 Posted April 30, 2014 Have you tried to run directly mapDisk.bat and/or run DevP twice? The error 3 means P: Drive was not mounted after execution. You can also try to define your paths here: settings.ini If it's still no working, download and run Arma3Tools_diag_retail, then, post the result.

Tom_48_97 523 Posted May 1, 2014 Your diag output looks weird, so, I invite you to verify the integrity of tools cache, then, run the diag one more time. Note the diag tools and P hot fix are included in the Arma 3 tools. Also, during the final step of the diag, you must hit [sPACE], not CTRL+C ;)
ZeroSix 10 Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks for the support tom_48_97... I have the Arma 3 Tools completely reinstalled and now everything is working fine.
McKeewa 7 Posted June 26, 2014 Hi there So i'm fighting with the Tools for 4hours, and be sure all the birds names were given to all of this. Anyway. The prepare P: doesn't work, mapdisk.bat neither, devp.bat neither, the _dialog_retail.bat says that it cannot find "E:\Steamlibrary\Steamapps\common\Arma" (duh, of course it doesn't find it, it doesn't exist and it should look for "D:\Jeux\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3"). The settings.ini is supposed to me well configured. And if i try to create a virtual P: by my own with windows ... pffff , the mess it create, it's not even bearable. I already reinstalled A3Tools ====== ;::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ;:: file: settings.ini ;:: ====== ;:: Author: Tom_48_97 - twitter: @tom_48_97 ;:: Description: User defined settings for Arma 3 Tools ;:: Note: ;:: Wiki: ;:: Go to https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/P_drive/settings for more information ;::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: [Arma3] ;User custom path for Arma 3? Tom_48_97 523 Posted June 26, 2014 Are you sure you completely re installed the tools? I ask this because your settings.ini has been generated with Arma 3 Tools 0.66, not 0.68. Also, what's your Windows version because the log contains errors with REG and FINDSTR (doesn't exist) whereas these are Windows native commands. For a full re installation of the tools: - From your Steam library, right click on Arma 3 Tools, "Delete local content..." - Open regedit and delete this node: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\bohemia interactive" - Check if the tools folder still exists, if yes, delete it - Install Arma 3 Tools from Steam - Start "Arma 3 Tools Launcher" (primary tool) once to add (or update) all needed registry entries for the rest of tools Please, note that after this operation, if you're using Poseidon, you will need to start the installer to regenerate the registry keys. McKeewa 7 Posted June 26, 2014 Thank you for your very fast response. Yes I completly reinstalled tools twice. But I'm gonna do like you say. -- So I did exactly what you said. Then. I checked cache twice, then I launched A3Tools via steam, "Play At Arma 3 tools", It did not ask me for the licence agreement (probably because I already did it in the previous installations) Arma3tools.exe was launched and, in admin. At this moment the settings.ini was generated with the first launch of Arma3tools.exe. (I didnt change anything, and as you can see, it's the 0.66) I did nothing more so far. What should I do next ? I guess, change paths and ? Tom_48_97 523 Posted June 26, 2014 If you look at this registry node: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\bohemia interactive\arma 3 tools", you should have a key "Path" that points out the location of Arma 3 Tools. Now edit your settings.ini, with a text editor or by pressing ctrl+e from Arma 3 Tools launcher, then, try to mount P Drive from Arma 3 Tools launcher. McKeewa 7 Posted June 26, 2014 The registry was already good. Ok, I edited settings with ctrl+e, defining each location (uncheking "default" boxes) I clicked Mount Pdrive (ninja win console appeared 0.03 second) But I have no P: in the HD list. (I didn't click any prepare p: drive.) RPT FTW, I did nothing more than you tell me to do or I said I did. About all the "REG" and "findstr" etc in the rpt, I don't know where they come from. I don't add any command line on the .bat. ==== ===================================================================== == DevP.bat == Params: -clearInstall Current time: ===================================================================== Arma 3 path is Arma 3 Tools path is D:\Jeux\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools\ ArmAWorkPath Registry entry is missing, now adding it 'REG' n'est pas reconnu en tant que commande interne ou externe, un programme ex‚cutable ou un fichier de commandes. I put also my works in it. And after "barbaring" all the .bat in random way. It seems to work. It seems that buldozer is not in Arma 3 Tools.
Tom_48_97 523 Posted June 26, 2014 No worries, regarding the version number the ini, it's normal. As for the rest, all bulldozer stuff is generated by DevP, this is why we need to solve the issue with findstr and reg. Possible causes are: Some exe/dll are missing from your System/System32/SysWOW64 and your OS installation may be corrupted Your system PATH var has been edited wrongly Can you check if findstr.exe and reg.exe are present in C:\Windows\System32? REG and FINDSTR are used many times in the bat and are Windows commands, that's why I asked your Windows version. By the way, you may encounter errors with other bat scripts
McKeewa 7 Posted June 26, 2014 I'm on win7x64 Both .exe are present in the system32 dir. I can assure you the path is right. http://llama-vox.com/a33/devpdebug.jpg (194 kB)
Tom_48_97 523 Posted June 26, 2014 Well, when I was talking of a PATH, I meant the system env var, my bad. Windows has a predefined variable named PATH. To see what it contains, just open a CMD (WIN+R, type CMD and hit ENTER) and just type PATH, it will show you what's in this variable. I think system32 directory is missing. Because the fact the system doesn't find reg.exe is system related. In brief, without this env var, to ping 127.0.0.1, you would be forced to use (it's how it worked before... a long time ago ^^): C:\Windows\System32\ping.exe 127.0.0.1 instead of just ping 127.0.0.
McKeewa 7 Posted June 28, 2014 oh, I see ! Because I cannot copy the cmd.exe, here a pic. Indeed, when I go to the CMd, I have to define sys32 each time to perform any action, this for a long time now, but i never knew why.
Tom_48_97 523 Posted June 30, 2014 To edit your environment variables with an UI: right-click on "My Computer", then click "Properties"; It will open "System Properties window", go in "Advanced" tab; Click "Environment Variables" In the second group box named "System variables", you need to edit the one called "Path". Each path (location) must be separated by a semicolon. The modification should take effect immediately, if not, just restart your computer. If after this operation, your path var is still wrong, it means something interferes with it (most likely a script at startup)
McKeewa 7 Posted July 2, 2014 Hmm. Ok. I don't really know path should I add, I added my path to the Arma 3 Tools dir. Or maybe I have to add path for both REG and FINDSTR ?
Tom_48_97 523 Posted July 2, 2014 You don't need to add each application but the folder they are , in your case, your system32 path.
McKeewa 7 Posted July 3, 2014 Thank your veru much for your support. I'll try to go on like that, if I encounter any other issue with BI TOOLS, I know where to find the best support ^^
McKeewa 7 Posted July 8, 2014 Well, I'm back, I managed to do something, and after a few days, no more P: drive, no more way to active it, and of course, everything related to A3tools doen't to work anymore. This begin to freak me out. For the info, i'm trying to work on map creation. I really don't understand why P: drive is needed, anyway. One question, If I add a real P: drive and I reinstall a3tools on it, direct on the root. Might it help ? Ps : I modified the PATH (in windoz properties), but when I launch "cmd", I get this : Microsoft Windows [version 6.1.7601]Copyright © 2009 Microsoft Corporation. Tous droits réservés. C:\Users\Julien>path PATH=D:\Jeux\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3 Tools;C:\Windows\System32;D:\Jeux\Ste am\steamapps\common\Arma 3; C:\Users\Julien> Instead of the awaited : C:\Windows\System32>path blabla
Tom_48_97 523 Posted July 9, 2014 Here some intel about P drive: http://tom4897.info/blog/2014/06/arma-3-tools-p-drive-devp/ Yes and no, in some way, you could get some tools working but this won't fix the main issue. Your environment variable PATH should contain at least this (Windows 8 w/ PhysX installed): C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;
