Demagor 0 Posted August 16, 2002 I know this question is so incredibly dumb, that it will lower my social standing among you. Â However, I love this game so much, that it's a risk I have to take. Â I have updated my base OFP to v1.46 and everything runs fine. Â Now, I see talk about Resistance-this and Resistance-that, and now I can't continue to exist without getting my own copy. Â The problem is, that I haven't acquired the Red Hammer expansion yet, and this concerns me somewhat. Am I able to "upgrade" to Resistance without having Red Hammer? Â If so, would there be any complication in upgrading to Red Hammer afterwards? Â I'm not in the position to buy them both (though I want to), and it seems that if it's one or the either, I'd definitely choose Resistance. Â Could someone shine some light on this? RED 0 Posted August 16, 2002 You do not need Red hammer to play OFPR. You should be able to install Red hammer after you install OFPR as it doesn't change any of the OFP files (as far as I know) But don't quote me on that. RED
kronzky 5 Posted August 16, 2002 My path was OFP 1.46 - Resistance - Red Hammer. Since I wasn't quite sure what would happen if I tried to install Red Hammer over Resistance, I just copies the relevant files from the CD to the campaign and add-on folder on the HD, and Red Hammer works just fine (as does Resistance). VXR 9 Posted August 16, 2002 resistance has all red hammer addons exept voices.pbo and redhammer.pbo if you open then red hammer cd there you can find the 2 pbo files add voices.pbo to your addons folder and redhammer.pbo to your campaigns folder then you dont have to install red hammer over resistance
