Trekbuddy mapmaker --> easy way to create a .png picture from geoportail or googlemap

Hello

I'm new in map-making

for now I'm just reading tutorials and in some of them create a .png from googlmap take a lot of time.

(perhaps I will be the "idiot corner" who speak about a tool that everybody know and use) --> sorry for that

I have search in the forum and I have found nothing about this tool "Trekbuddy" so I tell you what I found.

With this tool you can export a part of googlemap to create a big .png picture in less than 10 Mn.

it's easy to use (no installation needed).

I have tryed with IGN Geoportail.

1-Select the source (GoogleMap, Geoportail...).

2-Zoom on an area.

3-Select a zone with click right.

4-Select a definition (only one) (higher as more precision but the png will be bigger).

5-File.

6-Save as (.jpg,.png...).

after that you can open the png in photoshop

google maps doesnt work, Geoportail works very well...but saving is confusing because it saves the whole map although I selected a certain area...may be I´m still doing anythings wrong.
