and disabled firewall

running steam and Arma 3 as admin

all of this have no changes to our issue and i tryid to call my net provider and they couldnt do anything as it should run fine as it did 2 months agow where i had no problems with arma3 what so ever. we started to get this issie now after some update of somesort we have not changed anything before we started all this and we couldnt join eachother or any server. Do any of you know some fix to this?

Might also notify that we have tried both the Dev build and normal build. No luck.

We are using the exact same mods, we have tried without any of them enabled. Ports forwarded correctly. Firewall disabled. Steam and Arma 3 running in both Admin and Windows 7 Compatibility.

He stated his gear above, mine is:

i5 2500k - 4.5ghz

6gb ddr3

gtx670

chill 1000watt

Unfortunately Im sitting behind a Thomson TG789vn - Which I have heard should/could cause some troubles. I have disabled uPnP and forwarded the ports manually.

No luck at all.

This may have to do with how Arma3 has implemented Steamworks. Depending on the method, two people may not be able play on the same server from behind a NAT, without tweaking.

On Source based games this means either adding the command "+clientport 270##" (each person must change the ## to a unique number) to either the game launch options or in a userconfig.cfg file.

The Arma3 devs are going to have to give us a place to set this ourselves or nobody will ever be able to play on the same server if they are behind a NAT.

Might be something different but a friend of mine was having this problem because he was using Avira free anti virus.

Try running steam with admin compatibility and if you are running the server change the value of steamappid.txt to 233780.

also check if both of you are running the same mods or none, and if the server is compatible with them.
