jgbtl292 0 Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) the community is half half and i thing the bis dudes have more interest outside military stuff ;) the game is called sandbox - now my idea ... give ALTIS in the editor a slider ^^ a slider from all is good sunshine and tourist, living towns - interesting for RPG mods ;) to altis now. a economic destruction slider - all good good middle bad ( altis now ) very bad over 60% destruction in all towns. from altis with no slums and wrecks, bars , butchers, Bakery , clothing stors , car dealers , weapons stores, fields >> to altis now. complete different look island in one island ;) good for RPG and War gamers with a destruction time line in a mod campaign. good for complete different story's and missions et cetera. and its unique in the game world good publicity too. a big chinese modelling and scripting team can made this easy in a half year for under 500 000 Euro what cost the "make arma not war " contest :rolleyes: Edited March 22, 2014 by JgBtl292 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Rydygier 1322 Posted March 22, 2014 I like it. Especially, it implies adding to marvelous land of Altis/other islands procedural "society layer", like ALICE^3. So not only terrain, plants, animals and buildings, not only environment, but also living society with all crucial factors as immanent part of a whole ambience. For sure complex and not easy task, and that's why so interesting. paecmaker 23 Posted March 22, 2014 Done right it could be awesome, however its lots of work. You basically have to go down to each village and check out each stage to see how the area looks like. Like, you want to have infantry enter a building you must check out the specific building to make sure its still around and not totally destroyed(however a 3d editor would be perfect for that, you see the direct changes when you turn the slider and you see what buildings still stand). jgbtl292 0 Posted March 22, 2014 (edited) yes and no, not all buildings have a no ruin model counterpart and other buildings have no texture counterpart for a new nice look example the buildings from the fuel stations - the slums ,wrecks, and the trash you can not delete. the weed from the vegetation clutters in towns and fields to. and no interesting things in the towns - shops stores or simple things butchers bakery etc. for a not economic disaster look. or a little shopping mile in kavala or the main town. little souvenir stores etc. Edited March 22, 2014 by JgBtl292 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
