jason211 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Hi I notice that after a vehicle has been destroyed, that it doesn't burn for very long. I want this burning to go on longer sometimes, for the sake of atmostphere and effect. Is there a way I can achieve this by entering a script in the editor? Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted September 15, 2002 put a "fire" in the object list and type this in the init field of the fire: this inflame true

I think what he needs are those "fire scripts". you could code a script that creates a small fire on a vehicle once it is destroyed. This however, would any be in missions that you specifically put the script in. I would like BIS to add something like this to the general case
RED 0 Posted September 15, 2002 Yes that would be good, and if you had the option to set the variables to change the size and lifetime of the flame that would be great. RED
jason211 0 Posted September 15, 2002 I tried using inflame. It's ok, but quite often you can see the white stones of the fire poking out from the wreckage; and another problem with it is that if you walk near the fire, then the action window pops-up offering you the choice to put out the fire. Etc. Thanks anyway. J
