Devilchaser 0 Posted September 14, 2002 Of all the things I've done in O2, getting those normals to face appropriate directions is the toughest. There seems to be very few options for them, and it's very important for many things. Anyone have any techniques they would like to share with us about adjusting normals and faces? kegetys 2 Posted September 14, 2002 well, inverting the normals with w key is easy, and with U and I you can select between sharp/smooth edges (shading)... thats all I ever needed.
scousejedi 0 Posted September 14, 2002 As a newcommer to O2lite I have seen the blue normal lines in the tutorials but have not managed to actually see them myself in any of the models I have made. Is there a toggle that turns them on and off? If so I can't seem to find it. Edit OK, I know it looked like I have spent no time looking for it but I did File - Options - Normals check box /edit
SelectThis 0 Posted September 15, 2002 When you first place objects the normals all look like they are out of wack. Use the F5 key to reset normals, then take another look at them. Use the view faces graphic option button and 3d preview to see that the faces are viewable from the correct direction. SelectThis
