Small Stutter/Lag Spike At Random Times.

Recommended Posts

A couple things I would try:

Defrag Harddrive (unless it is an SSD, those don't like to be defragged)

Up the sampling to 120% or more in Armas video options. Top most option, first page.

Lower certain settings, like viewdistance, object distance and detail (2k view, 1k object, low or standard obj detail).

Run the Arma 3 benchmark. Compare 'Standard' setting to for example 'Ultra'. Do both stutter?

In Catalyst Control Center, disable Surface Format Optimization and Morphological Filtering. Use Multisampling instead of the other two.

Tesselation AMD Optimized. Test again.

http://bitsum.com/about_cpu_core_parking.php is a great tool for checking if your cpu is parking and causing stutter.

Then there is a CPU monitoring tool that will try to identify jitter on your cpu time you can find more info about that in here http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1075781-tweak-enable-hpet-in-bios-and-os-for-better-performance-and-fps/ for example if your cpu has been OC:d badly it would tell you that the sync isn't perfect and causes jitter.

more info on hpet on here.
