Are the Dev's still fixing Arma 2?

Hi,

it is now about 5 years after the release of this game - and the MP is still unplayable if you play Coop-Missions with AI like Insurgency. There are so many people with bad FPS, especially AMD-users.

So I would like to know whether someone is still working on this title or not. For me it is not comprehensible that the successor Arma 3 was released with the same problems.

I would expect that at least some important optimisation parts will be backportet to Arma 2, it should not be that hard as long at it is nearly the same engine with the same problems..

ArmA 3 is their flagship right now. The official patch 1.63 for Arma2 is overdue at least to say, but I wouldn't hold my breath over it. We will get one day a final patch. When? When it's done . . . ( the most used answer to that question on this forum).

I beg to differ. I am running a AMD 6300 6 Core 3.5 GHz with a ATI Radeon 7870 and I run Insurgency just fine. I think a majority of the people don't really have an issue with Arma2, unless you run into a poorly designed mission and in that case, well, nobody is getting good FPS there.

Also on a side note I'm not sure why I got AMD... we can just chalk that up to bad life choices..

Nice to hear that we will get at least another patch in the future. Well, the game does not run that bad, but it still needs a lot of improvements.

What? I have AMD, and my rig is 4years old Low-end PC, and iam normally playing Domination, and insurgency with 20-30FPS. With Rezolution 1920x1080. High textures, hi object detail, medium ground detail, medium shadows, postprocess off, and wiev distance, 2000-4000 depending on server.

Iam using lots of mods. ACE, ACRE (those two are must have), JSRS, Blastcore visuals, Jayarmalib, Shacktak mods, SweetFX, and many more.

Man, either your computer really sucks, or you are FPS freak and les than 50 is unplayable for you, or you playing on really bad servers, if you have bad FPS. Cause as i said I have normaly 20-30 FPS on ACE Domi or ACE insurgency.

There are many badly set-up servers out there sometimes i find server that i have les ten 10FPS on, but fortunately there is much more good servers where i have good FPS even with about 20 other players on. For example there is server called "Fly-German", and on that server i have even better fps than on singleplayer.
