DaViSFiT 21 Posted February 10, 2014 Hey, i dont know what to do against the problem. More and more people who play with us are concerned about this. We play normally with 10-35 people on our server and most players get bad fps directly from start. For myself i try everthing to tune , but still getting very bad fps in multiplayer. i manage our dedicated server and also try to get the best out of it, but it doesnt matter what i do, mostly its bad as hell. What im doing wrong? myPc: win8x64 3770K@4,2Ghz OC 16GB Ram // use tmalloc SSD Raid 0 // using nolog Amd 7950@950 OC // 3GB vRam 32mBit internet connection rootserver: 2008R2 3770, 32GB Ram ( 8GB Ram Disk ) tmalloc, nologs, cpu allocation. Yesterday we played 4-5h Coop mission with server@ramdisk + headless client. most time server 50fps with minimum 38fps. In base i got only 23fps and my graficcard was only @ 35% load. But the base wasnt big, only about 15 vehicles, 3 boxes with VAS, 2 repair stations and nothing more. Other players had 7-12fps. When i was alone in the hills, with no objects i got 35fps. I got only 2 times red chain for about 15 seconds within the 5h play. the mission had good cleanup builds, so the fps didnt drop much. will post my .logs @ /LARGEADDRESSAWARE flag (memory allocation > 2GB) tonight but i dont think this will help out for the bad client fps. On singleplayer i have about 80-85fps.
SavageCDN 231 Posted February 10, 2014 It may be due to the problems with the 1.10 stable dedicated binary - I would suggest joining the Arma 3 dedicated server Skype channel and asking Dwarden for access to the performance binary they are working on.
