Hotas switch issue?

Recommended Posts

I'm using the X65F and when I go to assign the controls, I was going to assign some things to the hats on the throttle but they don't register in game. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the controller because they register just fine outside of Arma 3.

I have also heard other hotas systems are having similar problems, does anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same problem with my G940. Worked around it by setting that hat to keybinds in the Logitech software

Sent from my cheap CSAT phone

it's kind of to be expected. This is a game which has a majority focus on infantry. I'd be pretty peeved if it didn't work in say... DCS, but so long as you can get 90% of your buttons to work, you should call it a win. My x52 registers all buttons and hats on my stick, along with a few buttons on my slider, but no hats or rotary dials.

I can't even see why you would need more than 2 hats to do anything in arma... It's not a simulator when you're in the cockpit, it's an arcade flight model with arcade aiming systems where you don't need many buttons to do everything. I've bound pretty much everything I need + Map, gps, watch, and compass toggles for giggles.

Is it? I don't agree. The game has joystick support, why shouldn't all the buttons work? I have the same problem with the warthog HOTAS. I do more helo flying than infantry, and I prefer having everything mapped to the stick. Why should I expect that it shouldn't work? It's true that there aren't that many functions to bind, but if I want a function on a certain button, it's really annoying when that button doesn't register in the game.
