fred41 42 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) ... its a battlefield style conquest mode ... and a really nice one. Tested FT-2 mode for some hours now and it is my current PvP favorit currently (even if i am always the looser :) ) . But the population is normally not bad, at least if we are talking about hi,a3? Atkins.A 10 Posted January 31, 2014 Tried this a bit as well. Squad Management is poor. 3rd person view is on. Friendlies have green/blue spots so u see them far away. And everyone has a minimap on. I would not call this an amazing PvP. FPS was indeed good. Have you guys tried Tactical-Battlefield-A-PvP-Modification? It is less arcade and more complex PvP modification. There seems to be a event tomorrow (not necessary to enroll before hand): http://www.tacticalbattlefield.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=1004

You might be interested in our special Veteran server called "[3DP:OFF] < Hi,A3 PRO FT-2 (Expert, TS:hia3.net) hia3.com >". Difficulty settings are pretty well on it. We have 3 different difficulty sets for 3 types of our FT-2 servers and all you need is to choose the one you like more. P.S. And what exactly you don't like about Squad Management implementation in FT-2? Please, feel free to help us with improving FT-2 - http://forums.hia3.com ---------- Post added at 00:48 ---------- Previous post was at 00:43 ---------- Ppl trying to make battlefield in Arma, sad. Many people consider FT-2 as Battlefield mod. But it's different. The goal is to give a players the opportunity to practice in shooting, to train reaction and other skills. Please notice that we have a lot of very skilled players which are in OFP/ArmA since OFP Beta 2001. And they don't like Battlefield. We are making now a Tutorial video in English and Russian to show the most features of FT-2 Mode. ---------- Post added at 01:06 ---------- Previous post was at 00:48 ---------- We have also added a multilingual UI support for FT-2. New version 0.98.1 brings the ability to play FT-2 map using the language that is choosen as default in Arma 3 game preferences. We've added 6 new languages: German, French, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, Italian. The game itself has 9 languages, we support 8 of these on our maps.It is reasonable to assume that we didn't make the best translation, we are open to partnership with our players. If you notice a translation that is lacking in some way, please let us know. hia3official 24 Posted February 17, 2014 Check out the TacBF's Squad Management (SM) system that they implemented;- Dividing squad to fireteams - in the SM you see the current KIT of players - you can tag players - shacktacish radar - name and lock squads - kick or invite players to squad - lock vehicles to your squad - change squadleader on the run - inter-squad communication channels and requests for fire support etc... - etc... We would like to remind that FT-2 maps are hosted by us on public servers. Overly complex (fine grain) squad management is usually frowned upon by the players. In either case, a minimal and fairly effective squad management is present: creating groups and password protecting them. We also have the capability to place markers. ShackTack Fireteam HUD (STHud) has been a part of permitted mods for a long time. It works well with the allocated squads. You can find the full list of permitted addons HERE. We are already thinking about creating the capability of unlocking vehicles for a group, and it will be available in subsequent releases. If we attract more players that are much more organized and/or belong to squads we will implement the additional squad management system.
