Hi guys, I was just wandering if its possible for 2 players not in the same squad to share info on the map. So if I wrote on the map about a sighting can the other player from a different squad see what I've wrote.?

i think it goes with the channel you have activated before placing the marker.

Im not sure what you mean mate. All we want to do is share info via the map even though we're in different groups.

Map markers share locality with voice channels - if you place a marker in side channel, everyone on your side will see it. If you place one in global, everyone on the server (including the other side) will see it. This is handy when you are crewing a vehicle like an attack heli or tank, as you can place all of the markers you want in the vehicle channel without messing up the map for everyone else.

Thank you very much for the info. Could I be cheeky & ask how I access the side chanel please? Are you saying that I must turn on this side chanel while in the map, make my entry then turn it off again?

Exactly. You can switch between channels using the comma [,] and period [.] keys. Remember that some servers disable certain channels, and others have strict rules regarding each channel's use.
