You might be able to use simple math operations in the string, like that :

depends="hitPoint1 / 2 + hitpoint2 / 2";

After quite a bit of research and testing i have a few improvement suggestions (alterations) that would make the A3 damage system we already have a lot better for players, modders and devs, for infantry as well as vehicles.
