DrWub 1 Posted December 5, 2013 How are you setting VCQ to 30 are you using a Startup Parm, or an external Server System (TADST, Webhost ect)
Baskerville 10 Posted December 6, 2013 I am setting it inside the server.cfg, vonCodecQuality = 30;

Baskerville 10 Posted December 8, 2013 From the server.cfg wiki page. vonCodecQuality = 0; // since 1.62.95417 supports range 1-20 //since 1.63.x will supports range 1-30 //8kHz is 0-10, 16kHz is 11-20, 32kHz is 21-30 Those are Arma 2 versions mind you. Anything over 20 in Arma 3 and you crash when you hit push to talk.
Gudsawn 93 Posted December 8, 2013 If I remember reading correctly - one of the SITREPS stated that the max VON codec quality setting in the server.cfg had been changed to 10 (whereas before it was 30). I can't remember correctly though if that was the stable or devbuild but I definitely remember reading it somewhere. May explain your issues.
Atkins.A 10 Posted January 11, 2014 From the latest spotrep: http://dev.arma3.com/spotrep-00016 Fixed: vonCodecQuality-related crash But there are still issues with VON: 0016789: Setting VonCodecQuality to 11 or higher makes the 3D (positional) function of comms to not work http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=16789 Setting VonCodecQuality to 30 makes the players sound like chipmunks.
