Sound issues after plugging headset into new computer?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just got a brand new computer after my last one basically fried and I'm completely back up but I'm encountering one error. When I go in game and shoot while standing still it will sound fine with rare crackling in between shots and the sound raises maybe one shot out of 10. However, when I start to move the sound lowers while I shoot and when I stand it rises back up again. I have a Logitech G35 and am using 7.1 Surround Sound, drivers SHOULD be up to date. Can anyone help please? It would be much appreciated. By the way, sorry if this is written poorly. It's 1:30 in the morning so I'm kinda tired.

I suffer from sound issues as well.

I just upgraded to a new computer as my other computer could not maintain 10 fps in Arma 3. I use the logitech G35 headset as well. I have issues with the sound not playing properly and I have to look in different directions to hear the person standing infront of me talking. I just remembered thought that in arma 2 I would sometimes have to cycle the Surround Sound on/off a couple times (switch on headset) and it fixed the issues for me. Going to try that now to see if it helps.

Cheers.

try to turn all effects in headphones software. Sounds like normalizer or automatic volume thingy to me.

I'm using Razer tiamat 7.1 headset and have a 7.1 sound card but it's awful. i dont think it's your rigs guys, the sound in game suck's. been so many threads bout this Bis don't seem to hear us (pun). at the moment my headset is set to stereo and using Razer's own 7.1 surround sound emulation software, it at least makes the sound in game tolerable. hopfully someday it will finally be sorted, Sound is a very important part of what makes this the number one milsim after all so come on BIS, Listen to US Please. :bounce3: before anyone mentions, we should not have to rely on mods/ addons etc for a decent sound in game, the've had over ten years to get it right.
