Yeah, they are great arent they! But the prices have doubled during the last few years. But that is their own fault. Usually you say that you should fish mussles only in months with an "r" like January, February........ But because of the great business the belgian state cut that law and now they got to import mussles from France cause they dont have enough anymore on their own cost.

Same desaster with "culture". Because of the EU Brussels very quickly decided to destroy many traditional buildings in order to provide space for the new incoming bureaucrats. The beautyful old "gare" has been totaly ripped apart and only the front wall is left. And this happened to many other old houses too. They dont care much about heritage and sustainability.

I love oysters, ordinary blue mussels. I like all other types but are not too much convinced of their tastes. EXCEPT Coquille Saint Jacques, that one is great with truffle oil!

You mean crustaceans and shellfish? I have been to the west-coast. Friends of mine have a house in St Raphael (near St. Tropez) and I have been to Cannes. But I must admit I didnt like it too much. It is very rich&snobby around there! Those are not the nouveaux riches there but still, their kids are terrible. If you go out you constantly feel like this silly "society" pressure. I rather like the real frenchies in lets say from the fishermen in Calais to the surfers in Biaritz!

no , western coast : La rochelle , brest , les sables d'olonne , l'ile de ré , l'ile d'oleron , l'ile de noirmoutiers , all the western littoral , it's great , loads of food specialities , really sympathic people

Oh, me thought that you say jiddish is a language that developed alongside the ordinary jewish language. But I was wrong. To me however the word jiddish did not imply any kind of differentiation but simply the adjective to a noun.

E.g. german <=> german music

but

jewish <=> jiddish music

just like

africans music (instead of south-african music)

So I guess you gave the word "jiddish" a fundamental second meaning whereas I took it only to be the adjective of the word Jew!(in a european environment)

But you were of course right (copy/paste guarantee). Jiddish is a "slang" that derived from the original jewish language. Actually I should have known since this slang/dialect was developed by the Aschkenas (german jews) which later on transported it to other regions within europe. (but I dont know much anyway)

Mischsprache, die anfangs aus deutschen und hebräischen Elementen bestanden hatte, nahm im Laufe der Zeit viele slawische Sprachelemente auf. Wie in allen modernen Sprachen ist daneben auch eine große Anzahl von Internationalismen zu finden. Trotzdem bleibt Jiddisch im Grunde eine germanische Sprache.
