I cant even play AA for more than 30 minutes at a time, and BF1942 for maybe 10 minutes before I say 'Fuckit!' and leave. But if anyone sees a potential OFP-killer out there, please sound off. I just wont be surprised if OFP ends up being better than it lol.<span id='postcolor'> Planetside and Breed  I think both will be about the same as opf (only less realism, but similar concept) but look great regardless and have some nice looking vehicles and weapons. RedRogue 0 Posted August 24, 2002 Haven't touched it since 1.58/1.59/1.60 betas. Where the new netcode in those screwed up my MP performance I completely lost intrest in the game. Currently I play BF1942, a little AA, and alot of NWN.
Aculaud 0 Posted August 24, 2002 I have a feeling that i'll be much more interested in OFP (as if i wasnt enough already) when i upgrade my machine. All the people i'm killing kinda add up, and it puts a pretty hefty load on my comp.
Die Alive 0 Posted August 24, 2002 I've been playing this shockwave pong type "Strip Tenis" game, it's like a strip poker game vs. Anna Kornakova, and every time you beat her, he takes off her clothes!!! Â :o -=Die Alive=-
Cloney 0 Posted August 24, 2002 I was lucky enough to find a chatroom of people who loves OFP Resistance. We play almost every night and we have some very gifted mission makers. The most important part is that everyone there is very compatible and its always a pleasure to play a game of OFP with them. We plan for atleast 20 minutes before the mission and we are very disciplined. Aslong as no CS Kiddies start coming by we are golden. I'm sorry you guys haven't been so fortunate. Harnu 0 Posted August 25, 2002 I mess around in the mission editior a bit. Suntman! Then I'll do some rifle ranges, test my AT skills on moving targets for fun. Only time I'm really playing OFP is some SP and MP Matches with USMC. Occasianally I'll go on Radishville or Stoners, but not as much as I used to. mAinly cause football has a large part in my life now. Being on a team is quite a bit of work, and I find myself having less and less time to do things I once did.

It's so much fun. Right now i'm making new missions for OFPR Campaign. Too many nice places on Nogova. I just have to make 10 or 20 missions. And BTW. I play OFP every day. I tried many other games since OFP came out. One of them was BF 1942. I only played it for maybe ten minutes and then i deleted it from my disk. It looks like almoust impossible to get bored with it. Tovarish 0 Posted August 25, 2002 Two main reasons: School (which starts again Monday, just like Nordin), and work. I still play though, but not nearly as often as I used to. (and I just recently had time to finish Resistance, for the first time, on full vet mode & Super-AI, booya!! ). There are other reasons, such as IL-2 (Thanks Tex ), and I'm also anxiously awaiting LOMAC. Heck these guys made the original Su-27 simm, I still have version 1.5, Squadron Commander's Edition and play it occasionally . I remember first trying to run that on my old 486sx/25. Aculaud 0 Posted August 25, 2002 Ok, whats this LOMAC everyones talking about?
Col. Kurtz 0 Posted August 25, 2002 LOMAC=Lock On Modern Air Combat. Look at it like Flanker 3.0 but with playable Nato planes, but still focused on the Russians.LOMACThat will get you there, have a look. Looks good, but unfortunetly is not expected until about Janury 2003. I recently got Flanker 2.0 for $20, roughly $10 USD and I really like it. Besides running a little bit unstable, it is really good. Like anything with a mission editor, I have jumped into that. I got the 2.5 upgrade and I love the shipt to ship combat. I like to watch the Moscow launching a SS-N-12, pressing F6 to go to missile cam, and watch the ASM fly low over the waves, narrowly survive attacks by the American missiles, beat the 20mm Phalanx bullets, and slam into a nice fat ship. Good bye Oliver H. Perry! Watching B-52s trying to outurn SA-10s is fun too If they can fix the bugs, make it more realisitc, and keep the flyable choppers, I think I'll jump all over Black hawk down, but they have to get rid of the bugs.......*has Nightmares of shooting people 20times and them not taking damage!Arrrrgghhhhhh!*

I was like "COME ON, bis!! We can have laser guided bombs that can take out 20 M1 Abrams with one strike, but we cant get a bolt action sniper rifle!?" And then i saw black hawk down Seeing Delta Force use the M21 so recently gave me a whole new perspective on it. It still does actually have a practical use. It does maintain acceptible accuracy out to 700 meters, and being a semi-auto rifle, it increases the speed at which targets can be acquired and elminated. SpaceAlex 0 Posted August 25, 2002 I don't know about LOMAC. It looks very nice, but i don't like the fact that you'll be able to fly in just a few aircrafts. This game would be good for a chopper combat too. On the other hand i think that OFP spoiled me. I want to be able to do everything. Damn.

Col. Kurtz 0 Posted August 25, 2002 Hey look! At least LOMAC will have realistic fighter combat, not the stuff served up by OFP. Sys Specs for LOMAC have not been realesed to my knowlage, but youll need soemthing with a little grutn I would say. If you have a P2-500 and a TNT-2, this game is not for you. There is a movie avaliable to download, quility is not the best, but have a squiz, nice A-10 action.

I just think that a game like LOMAC should have chopper combat. I think that doing more things is better than doing just one thing.
ralphwiggum 6 Posted August 25, 2002 well, OFP is not a great flight simulator, but is acceptable... but comparing with flight sim only is a bit over extent
Aculaud 0 Posted August 25, 2002 Yeah, the air units in OFP are for little more use than air support for the ground units. And sometimes its better to be able to do everything rather than just one thing, but we really have to think about just how well the developers simulate this 'one thing'
