LONE WOLF 2.1 April 2014 Update

by

MFZ

Description:

It's a single player mission where you must eliminate 13 enemies.

UPDATE CHANGES

- random enemy placements each time you play

- AI moves and finds cover more realistically

- Player starts with a .45 ACP

- Added vehicles ( trucks, 3 helicopters, and a plane )

- Behind the scenes code improvements I can't remember

Features:

CUSTOM AI

- random spawn points

- random weapons

- universal difficulty ( recruit should be just as difficult as elite )

- they search for cover and use it

- other tweaks

CUSTOM DAMAGE CONTROL FOR PLAYER

- customized using the HandleDamage event handler

- hint box acts as a HUD for detailed damage feedback

DETAILED STATS IN DEBRIEFING

- shots fired, accuracy, head shots, health left, longest shot

RANDOM START TIME

PRESSING NUMPAD 8 WILL MAKE THE MISSION MORE CHALLENGING

- weather worsens and it becomes later in the day

- less ammo

I probably forgot some things, but it's late and I just want to release this already.

Installation:

Copy the .pbo file into the missions directory under the main ARMA III directory.

Notes:

This is my first mission, but I do web coding for a living, so I learned how to script for Arma III pretty quickly. I'll appreciate any feedback.

I really like the idea of the hint box used for a detailed damage feedback. That's pretty cool :D

Thanks.. I think I recall reading that there is a way to add to the actual HUD, but it seemed too time consuming for me to implement. Also ,some difficulties make the HUD fade after so many seconds, so I figured the hint box would suit it better.

Hey MFZ, would you care to re-upload the file for people to test it?

Cheers

Mathias

Yea, it's been a while. I have the archive right here in a folder on my desktop though. I'll re upload it.

Thank you' date=' I spent a good amount of time on it ! I had to learn the code the game uses. What programming language does it use anyway ?

Yea, I guess I could do that.. Do you like it though ? I like how different it is every time it's played.

I tried it today....a bit on the arcade side...at the beginning, the enemies appear to materialize out of thin air, and the last one is WAY out of bounds... a bit rough around the edges I would say.
