Battlefieldbully 10 Posted September 17, 2013 I don't know if somebody has addressed this before but like the title says AI tends to partially sink beneath the surface when they hit the ground. I'm not sure if it's a graphical glitch but sure is annoying especially when you're trying to hit distant targets. Sorry guys if somebody posted about this before but I couldn't find anything with the search function. I got a little worried when I noticed thhis still wasn't fixed. :j:
KeyCat 131 Posted September 17, 2013 (edited) No glitch etc this is by design! A way to simulate grass without heavy CPU/GPU load, in other words they only sink where there are grass under their feets so it make sense you have problems hitting them since they are trying to hide in the grass. /KC Edited September 17, 2013 by KeyCat
Greenfist 1863 Posted September 17, 2013 Also sometimes lower terrain detail setting renders distant ground at a level where it shouldn't be but objects still float/sink where the real ground is. And that's the glitch.
KeyCat 131 Posted September 17, 2013 I know what you mean Greenfist but thats not what he meant, it's a separate issue when using low terrain setting. /KC
Battlefieldbully 10 Posted September 17, 2013 Ok thanks for the clarification. I'm not sure if the execution of this particular effect is very polished/sophisticated but it's def working, lol
