Hand position on weapon

I know there is a thread similar to this one but it doesn't provide me with an information i need.

So I'm new to editing arma games and I'm making a weapon addon (something basic so I can get a hang of it) and I cant seem to find (in the example m16a4 model or it's config) what is controlling the position of hands on the weapon (so the hand isn't 10 cm behind where it should be).

I don't need to change the hand itself (from open to fist for example).

Do I have to edit the skeleton?

You make your own animation or you find one of the default ones that work with your particular model.

handanim[] = {"OFP2_ManSkeleton", "\A3\Weapons_F\Rifles\MX\data\Anim\MX_dmr.rtm"};

or similar in the weapons class

Hey, zachgibson222 doesnt exist on Steam anymore. U have a discord or something? I need hand animations done for my alien weapons (Alienz mod) so any help appreciated!

Might be a stretch, the threads 10 years old and the user hasn't been on the forums since 2016. Best of luck though.
