We can still say the ones that aren't on there. It hasn't even been a month since the last thread. So basically, if I find a war movie, and replace it with one on the poll list right now, that must mean I can make another poll becuase it won't have all the same choices and will then become legit? Well?

red oct 2 Posted August 12, 2002 well today i finished watching "The Beast" on some movie channel, its about a Soviet Tank Crew that gets lost some ware in Afghanistan and are on the run from the afghan villigers who want vengance for the village they destroyed. and the driver ends up helping the rebels. it was ok, but there was a scene that was kinda disturbing in it that i didn't really care too much for. Placebo 29 Posted August 12, 2002 Savior is prolly the war movie with the most disturbing scene I've watched, superb movie though
red oct 2 Posted August 12, 2002 what scene was that? the one in The Beast that i didn't like was when the soviet tank comander ordered his men to take a afghgani man and put him feet first under the treads of a tank and when he didn't corraperate they rolled righter over him. the way the tank squished his feet and mangled him just seemed a little too sicking for me, but i can watch people getting limbs shot off and rittled w/ bullets i just can't stand watching people getting mangled or having there insides spilled out much like that soldier in saving private ryan who was holding in his spilt insides. unless of course the nasty very evil cruel villian is getting that kinda punishment that like that of couse i won't watch many movies w/ that kinda stuff in it. Placebo 29 Posted August 12, 2002 Sheesh that was tame in comparison Savior had a big-fuckoff-fatbastard-evil-serb with a big-fuckoff-sledgehammer, and a small soft woman's head You'd need to watch the movie to appreciate the horror and sacrifice and love of the scene, it's just a surprisingly wonderful, moving, harrowing, thought provoking movie
pathfinder 0 Posted August 12, 2002 I know that there isn't enough room in the polls for all war movies but here are some good ones. Flight of the Intruder BAT-21 84 Charlie Mopic

Grey Fox 0 Posted August 12, 2002 101st Aiborne Division, 501st? Airborne Regiment, Easy Company They just ended up doing a whole bunch of important stuff, like D-Day or Market Garden. In the end of the war they are the first unit to take the Eagle's Nest

Really indepth with their friendships to one and another. Great mini series you should see it when you have the chance. Its on HBO. Thats a very brief sum of it. Well I voted for BHD. I just like how they show soldiers up against impossible odds. Thats what makes a good movie to me.
Aculaud 0 Posted August 12, 2002 Saving Private Ryan. The only reason i own it on VHS is that i just got my DVD player. I'll be getting the DVD as soon as i get the spare cash. Even after black hawk down, even after enemy at the gates, even after platoon, apocolypse now, and full metal jacket, Saving Private Ryan was the most moving, oddly motivating, and above all else, captivating war movie i'v seen. Spielberg just made WW2 a believable thing. Seeing it the first time was like one of those dreams where you seem like youre just a camera and mic thats there watching everything happen in front of you. It was honestly spellbinding. I gave u the book and you've had it for 2 weeks and are only on page 60 Jester! I mean C'mon only 60! I was done in less than 3 days!
