Simple MEDEVAC

Hi guys!

In this post I'll show the method I use (probably a lot of you do it), because I have Play withSix and I can install only predefinied mods. So NO ADDONS REQUIRED for this method.

Beware because EXTRACTION POINTS ARE PREDEFINIED AND CANNOT BE MODIFIED!

Inter alia, this method is particularly useful in MULTIPLAYER (since there's not the AI dumbass).

I'll use this colour for additional features that the ACE mod offers and this for MP

IN GAME:

1. Your buddy get hits

2. First Aid: Bandages (or Tourniquet if serious) and Morphine (Avoid Ephineprine if possible)

3. Transport the wounded to the MEDEVAC point (estabilished in the editor; remember to add the module that allows you to carry the wounded). If in MP ask for motorized/mechanized support.

4. Secure the MEDEVAC area.

5. Go to Communications->Radio->Radio Alpha/Bravo etc. to call the chopper (0->0)

5-1. Don't know why, but to get the chopper land you have to order someone to get in the chopper, then it will land.

6. Load the wounded into the chopper.

7. Go to Communications->Radio->Radio Alpha/Bravo etc. to lets the chopper fly away (0->0)

What I've done in the EDITOR:

1. Create an, er... volunteer to shoot.

2. Create an invisible H object where you want the MEDEVAC point.

3. Create a chopper, name it "med" and add on it a "hold" waypoint (I use the MEDEVAC Black Hawk, you can find it in US Army->Support)

4. Add a Load waypoint on the H object, and set it like this: http://oi44.tinypic.com/2uz3qsj.jpg

6. Create a trigger and set it like this and sync it with the hold waypoint: http://oi40.tinypic.com/mkkkur.jpg

7. Create another trigger and set it like this and sync it with the LOAD waypoint: http://oi39.tinypic.com/a3mdmq.jpg

8. Add a cycle waypoint that links the last waypoint (Trasport unload) with the first one (Hold)

Make sure the hold waypoint completion radius is large enough to reach the trasport unload

I like this method because isn't unrealistic, a lot of real missions have a predefinied extraction point.
