Risky 10 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Hi, I originally had a problem with taking ages to load into DayZ but after a fresh reinstall of everything Arma Related, the problem now persists in base Arma2 and Arma2:OA too so figured i would post in here. As of today, I noticed i had been getting some abnormally long loading times whilst trying to play DayZ I timed it earlier, from me hitting connect on DayZ Commander to actually being able to move my character, it takes 10 minutes on average. Once i get in and play it's fine, if i die and reconnect it's just like it always used to be, but the initial load in has just went downhill. Now i then went into the base Arma2:OA and tried to load up a wasteland server but this was the same issue. Timed it and it took me 9 minutes from hitting connect in the server browser. Previously it would only be 2-3 minutes, and i've obviously not changed anything to do with my rig since it worked fine a few days ago. It's the load screen with the bar on the bottom that seems to take up the majority of the time, before it would tend to jump up in quite large increments but now i have to sit and watch the bar move pixel by pixel which is brutally slow. After it gets past the screen with the bar, into receiving and setup completed etc. it's perfectly fine again. I have a fairly good rig so i'm pretty sure that's not the cause of the issue, especially since it was fine until last night when i installed origins and epoch through DayZ Commander, played Origins, loaded normally, came online today and was met with this issue. System Specs: Windows 7 64-bit Intel® Core™ i7 960 @ 3.20GHz, 6GB RAM Crossfire 5870's Please note I have reinstalled literally everything to do with Arma2 on steam today before testing it again. Fresh installs of Arma 2, Arma 2: OA, Beta, DayZ and tested them all to see if the problem was solved but it wasn't. Any help to fix this irritating issue would be much appreciated. Cheers. ---------- Post added at 12:48 ---------- Previous post was at 12:47 ---------- Couldn't post this originally since i was limited by post count. Here is my latest RPT log that i had a look at after my latest attempt to join a Wasteland server, there is a whole heap of stuff in there however i lack the expertise to know if it's error messages or not, although it does look a bit out of the ordinary. It's in a pastebin since it was about 200000 characters too long to fit in the post. RPT Log Edited August 16, 2013 by Risky

orcinus 121 Posted August 17, 2013 ....it was fine until last night when i installed origins and epoch through DayZ Commander, played Origins, loaded normally, came online today and was met with this issue. Those error messages look like they are all Dayz-related, though as I have never played it I can't be 100% sure. The Dayz forumswould be more appropriate if so. There's a mass of "Conflicting addon" messages. I suspect the quoted line above should point you in the right direction. Part of the problem is a lack of a systematic approach. You installed several large addons at once after reinstalling the game; that isn't the way to troubleshoot. Find the simplest system that works, then change one thing only & test. Troubleshooting issues related to addons/mods should be addressed in the thread of the addon/mod in question, not in here. Try with the vanilla game. If the problem is gone then it is related to an addon/mod. Try to locate the problematic mod/addon and then contact the creator of this mod/addon. If the problem persists in vanilla ArmA 2 then please report back here.
