pachira 1 Posted August 9, 2013 Getting constant framerate drops for some reason Specs: Win7 Home Premium 64 Bit AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 8GB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6950 Seems to happen when turning or when camera changes position in cutscenes. ---------- Post added at 15:31 ---------- Previous post was at 15:20 ---------- Hm, changing terrain detail from very high to normal fixed it. No visual difference either it seems. Either that or changing auto-framedrop or whatever it is from 4x to none did it.
zulu1 145 Posted August 9, 2013 Yeah, no one really runs OFP on very high. Also view distance should be set around 800-1200. Although I can run battlefields at 5,000 with little lag :).
Lenyoga 326 Posted August 10, 2013 Same here. I noticed minor lag when turning the camera first. I think it's because the game's rendering the map - it runs lag free once I've 'looked at' the surrounding area, for that area. I also noticed an increase in the lag when setting the world detail to 'very high'. Will run it on normal again and try what you suggested. OFP isn't really made to run on highest levels without issues on any system (I'm using XP, used ME back in the days.)
sweetkitten 10 Posted November 28, 2014 I have the same problem. PC: Athlon 3000+ 1 GB RAM nVidia GeForcce GT240 Game does not run smooth despite any graphic settings. Framerate drops from 60 fps to 10 fps randomly.
