Rawwk 10 Posted July 23, 2013 Hello, Our entertainment company, Rawwk, is in the process of developing a RP server on ArmA II: Combined Operations. We are looking for some people to aid us in creating a few scripts and porting over vehicles from various games including Need for Speed, Grand Theft Auto IV and Driver etc and getting them to work in-game We are searching for a full save system meaning players can save their stats and items that they may own, e.g money/vehicles. We have persistant database and codes to save stats alone, however we do not know how to implement this and this is where we need your help. In return for your efforts we would like to give you monetary rewards which can be discussed by either messaging us or by leaving a reply below. Thanks, Rawwk administrative team

Paying people to rip models from other games... You're going to go far in the entertainment industry.

Rawwk 10 Posted July 23, 2013 We were not planning on taking vehicles and using them without any permission. The BIS legal department's gonna be first in line to have a chat with him in any case. We put this post up in order to see if it was possible if it could be done and if anybody would be able to aid us in doing so. If we found that we could be helped and it was possible to actually put vehicles in then we would have requested permission from the developers and car manufacturers. This is why we do not state that any permission has been given as it would have been an unnecessary way of using our time to find out that once we had the permission, we could not even put the vehicles in. Although this does sound impossible to achieve and never get the permission we want to at least try because we really want to enhance the standards of addons in ArmA. Paying people to rip models from other games... You're going to go far in the entertainment industry. You are suggesting that we would pay people to partake illegal actions, however the monetary rewards would have been there for the aid that people would have given us, once permission had been given. I don’t know why you presumed that we wouldn't seek permission from the respected authors. Rawwk administrative team
max power 21 Posted July 24, 2013 The EULA of the tools state you can't use them in commercial projects. A freelance artist hiring himself out to create addons is a commercial endeavour. I'm not sure I quite believe you about the permission thing, and even if it was true, I doubt you will get it. Perhaps you should get permission first before you ask people to help you- for free or not at all next time. Thread closed.
