Col. Kurtz 0 Posted August 5, 2002 for the good of this thread, can we kill the Thatcher discussion? Some of us love her, some of us hate her. Lets just leave it at that. If you want, Paratrooper, go and open a thread about her. but I shall not let my thread be ruined by her! This thread should be more easier for people to get along in, since we hate more politicians and leaders than we like. Since there are a lot of people who are talking about people who never ruled countries, I shall give consideration to Leader Mark III and IV around people who you would have liked to be rulers, and people who you are glad are not. Dont forget about the Aprethid South African govermeants of the past! And of course Jim Bludger(sorry Boulder! and Jenny Shiply(/Shitly). Our tow most loved PMs of NZ! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Paratrooper 0 Posted August 5, 2002 Back to the subject at hand..I think that Romano Prodi (EU President) does a poor job of representing the EU. He should be out there in the public eye more, trying to show he is working against EU corrupion and for a workable EU system. Instead he is a non-descript figure who commands no public interest. billytran 0 Posted August 5, 2002 I think Stalin and Hitler were by far the worst world leaders of the 20th Century. As for US leaders: Bill Clinton: Encouraged corruption with the incredibly bad example he set for the nation. He bombed Kosovo into oblivion. Responsible for the deaths of American soldiers in Somalia. Tried to put a socialized health care system in place. Signed a bill that banned scary-looking (but otherwise normal) guns. Jimmy Carter: Really screwed over the econonmy and hurt the military (remember Desert One?).

Col. Im surprised no one has mentioned our wonderful violinist, Benito Mussolini[if you have, I have missed it]

Warin 0 Posted August 5, 2002 Canadian Leader: Diefenbaker. He was the first PM to really dive Canada in to debt (and while inevitable in any nation, he started it, damn him! and some of his decisions caused a lot of grief in what was a vital aerospace industry. After Avro cancelled the Arrow on the orders of the Diefenbaker government, a lot of the engineers ended up in the States. World Leaders: Batista, Samoza, Noriega, Marcos... take your pick.
