Arma 3 has stopped working

Recommended Posts

I have just downloaded Arma 3 Beta on steam, It reports Arma 3 has stopped working each time I launch it. It has done this with games such a Black Ops 2 and I can not find a solution. My system is:

Windows Vista Home Basic

Processer: AMD A4-3400 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.70 GHz

Memory(RAM): 3318 MB

System type: 32-bit Operating system

If someone could please tell me the solution to the problem that would be great.

Thanks

What else is running in the backround? This happened to me until I realized that running Bandicam in the backround killed the Arma3 process.

Nothing was running in the background. I tried closing everything and running arma 3, same thing happened.

I assume you have Service Pack 2 installed (Vista)?

Did you set fixed memory usage for you on-chip videocard?

Things you can do:

- Check your windows eventlog for clues.

- Check your "C:\Users\[uSER NAME]\AppData\Local\Arma 3" .rpt file for clues

- Check intergrity of the game cache

- Update/downgrade your video drivers

- Temporarily disable your firewall or check settings if Arma3 is blocked. (People have known problems with Zonealarm)

- Reboot system a few times

And last resort options:

- Re-install Windows

- Buy better computer ;)
