zeep 3 Posted June 19, 2013 Just today i noticed in a PvP DM match that with weapons such as the HMG (forgot the name) i shot and hit a guy 6 times in the torso before he died. Is there a problem with hit registration, is it ping (both around 80ms) or did arma3alpha yonder from the path of realistic damage? Hadn't really noticed problems with hit reg before in the past months. Though on occasion i felt some kills took a tad too many hits. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Because the playing out animation thing has been with us since arma2. *shudders* Body armor yes possible, but certainly not walking up straight after taking 6 hits in the chest. Because the playing out animation thing has been with us since arma2. *shudders* Really I thought that at some point in the alpha it was fixed thanks to ragdolls. Maybe I have my facts wrong. I don't think any body armour would stop six shots from any HMG ingame, and even if you hit the rifle a couple of times the rest of the shots should have still been effective. What range? Was it possible you're hits were actually ricochets. Otherwise I would attribute it to lag. The first shot might of killed him but it didn't fully register until you had put the 6th shot in him. Though 80ms is pretty decent - I only have these problems at around 200ms. No matter, it definitely isn't because BIS is straying from the path of unforgiving damage. Ash712 1 Posted June 19, 2013 I too noticed a change/total turn around in the hit detection :( in the earlier "Alpha" builds it was working perfectly! As of the recent patch though it's like I can shoot the guys in the chest/head 6 times before it registers and kills the guy after half a minute. I've been having terrible hit detection/animation based ArmA 2 flashbacks all over again! :( EDIT : I was thinking it was lag, but I never have over a 75 ping, and no de-sync.
