Wait, the news is always so keen on blaming it on video games, aren't they? We should actually blame it on them for showing us war images, brutal murders and giving us news on hostage situations etc. smile.gif

Compassion doesn't prevent punishment. He should be punished for his crime and placed where he can't hurt people, but that needn't stop you pitying him. For his is pitiful.

Punished? I cant see the pointin keeping him in jail for years and years... Wasting resources on somebody whos probably just going to go out and kill someone again seems a waste of time to me...

Anyway, Shooting someone over a game, he must of already been mad or something - or as you said hes a complete nutter smile.gif

Everyone gets mad at games, well, I know I do biggrin.gif But id never go to the point where Id hurt anyone...

No-one here would, he is clearly disturbed, he should be where he can't hurt people or himself.

Was there no record of mental problems?

A South African has been jailed for life for raping a nine-month-old baby girl.

David Potse, 23, was found guilty after evidence from the baby's 17-year-old mother.

The baby had to undergo reconstructive surgery, after she was raped near Upington.

Judge Hennie Lacock described the rape as the most gruesome human rights violation he had come across in his 32-year career, and denied Potse leave to appeal.<span id='postcolor'>

The Bastard doesn't deserve compassion, he is human garbage and we should do with him what we do with the garbage bags we put at the side of the road every monday morning.

Spare your pity

hmmmmmmm....... the term "bleeding heart" seems to come to mind here doesn't it. You would probably see that she is held more responsable than he (if she survived). I guess that is commonwealth ideology isn't it, and I can say that as a Canadian.

I though it was only a Canadian problem but as I have been online for awhile, it seems to effect most of the commonwealth. The Criminals seem to have more rights than the victims. Example story: Some guy had a bear trap set under his basement window. One night some punk broke in and fell down onto the trap. To make a long story short, the guy that set the trap was more heavily punished than the guy that broke in. It seems to be a disease that people in these countries think that criminals have a problem and need to be helped. What ends up happening is the victim is seen as the criminal by society. Its also happening with "police brutality", where the cops are the bad guys. Sure there are the occasional beatings, that are completly unessary, but if i was running from the cops I would expect a good bloody beating. And then there is the court system in Canada where a life sentence is no more than 25 years, and they only have to serve 1 third of it. What a sick government I live under.

I said he should be punished and severley too, he should be permanently put away. That does not stop one feeling pity however.

The World can be a sick and disturbing place sometimes. sad.gif

He was probably some guy who was used to winning and had to win at everything. IMO too much of a good thing can corrupt someone. No matter how much you're in denial its corrupting you. So basically he was just so corrupted he couldnt take it, losing that is.

My prayers go out to the victim's family.

I agree this guy should face a good punishment. Life in prison would work but my only concern would be what if he gets loose and does the same thing? I think he should be put in a isane assylum.

Couple of months ago a finnish boy got stabbed by his father,

after they had played with Playstation.

Fortunately, the boy didn't die, but that's pretty sick too.

I've seen a fight after a drunk Tekken session, that was really

amusing!

That stops me from having pity, before the shooting however I could have felt sorry for him and his problems, but it is too late now.

I second that, and I hope we all understand who the victim is.

yay join the cops and beat up the ppl u dont like and get paid for it yes..no,what happens if the decide to beat u up confused.gif

I can see what ur saying about persistent troublemakers getting off lighter than ur average joe public for example him getting a heavy sentence for beating up a guy that just robbed his house and tried to attack him, blame the cops and courts for that.
