rewhymo 1 Posted May 19, 2013 Simple question. Why not make the M203s and the M320s seperate items that people can attach and detach from their weapons at will? Smurf 12 Posted May 19, 2013 Not sure but it seems to be related with hands animations limitations, otherwise they would go for it from the start as it's a logical thought. da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 19, 2013 Hand anims currently work on a per-weapon basis so the grip used to hold grenade-launchers or vert-grips can't change based on the attachments fitted to the base weapon. Even if they did, it would be difficult to account for how the handanims would need to change based on the different rail position of the vert-grip/UGL when attached to different weapons of different lengths The UGLs also have certain animations incorporated into them using a model.cfg file like flip-up sights when switching to the GL muzzle and the moving sights as you adjust the zeroing range. Model.cfg animations like these are not currently supported by 'proxy' objects such a weapon attachments, so GL attachments would need to lose a lot of the nice new features GLs currently have and become more 'static' like the GLs in Arma 2 and previous titles.
