.paa trouble

Recommended Posts

whenever I import a .paa for Arma 3 it turns out as a ghost. the picture is definitely there, I can see the outline, but there isnt any color.

Im using the same method I did in A2, is there something new I need to do now? textures are showing up fine, its the UI stuff like Icons and gunner optics.

Try TexView2. Does your picture get an alpha channel from somewhere? Are you using RVMats?

yes, Im sorry, I use Texview2 for the .tga >> .paa part of it.

and I thought RVMats were for materials, Im adding transparency ( I think thats alpha channel...) in GIMP when I create the picture. I can post a sample .paa download if that would help you see what Im doing

Alpha channels mask parts of the image (black hides, white reveals), in your original post you say you can see an outline I wondered whether your alpha was the wrong way around.

I think you need to post a screenshot about this issue. Without it, we are just fumbling around in the dark.
