j0nes 194 Posted May 15, 2013 whenever I import a .paa for Arma 3 it turns out as a ghost. the picture is definitely there, I can see the outline, but there isnt any color. Im using the same method I did in A2, is there something new I need to do now? textures are showing up fine, its the UI stuff like Icons and gunner optics. Alwarren 2767 Posted May 17, 2013 jpeg >> tga (use GIMP without RLE compression) >> tga >>paa Try TexView2. Does your picture get an alpha channel from somewhere? Are you using RVMats?
j0nes 194 Posted May 18, 2013 yes, Im sorry, I use Texview2 for the .tga >> .paa part of it. and I thought RVMats were for materials, Im adding transparency ( I think thats alpha channel...) in GIMP when I create the picture. I can post a sample .paa download if that would help you see what Im doing

j0nes 194 Posted May 18, 2013 hmmm ok, what does it do? I mean inverts it obviously, but how does it affect the alpha?
surpher 1 Posted May 18, 2013 Alpha channels mask parts of the image (black hides, white reveals), in your original post you say you can see an outline I wondered whether your alpha was the wrong way around.
max power 21 Posted May 19, 2013 I think you need to post a screenshot about this issue. Without it, we are just fumbling around in the dark.
