Placebo 29 Posted July 21, 2002 The only thing that talking about cracks and such like on this forum will do is make me think you haven't bought the game so I suggest you refrain from doing it in future if you want to continue posting here. Moving to TS.
Baztard1984 0 Posted July 21, 2002 You know some people use No Cd instructions to prevent CDs from getting wrecked, I don't use them for Opflash because I don't want to activate Fade. So why don't you lay off him a little. The error he is getting might a CD read-instruction that keeps screwing up...
Hidden 0 Posted July 21, 2002 The file is certainly there, he was just not looking good enough.
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted July 21, 2002 One of my friends couldnt patch his game using the CD since he had a rather old CD-Drive (I think trhat was why). So we just made copies with a CD-burner and it worked. So if you cant make your CD work, try making a backup using cloneCD or a different tool.
jawk2 1 Posted July 21, 2002 Clonecd wont work... i once tried to make me a backup-copy for playing in LAN with my friend *i dont think BIS will disagree about doing publicity in private LAN*.Passing ONE CD to 25+ Ppl to launch the game (and with the crash arg) that alot of bothering just to make them discover such interesting MP game. But i tried to copy it, and i finally got a piece of plastic that cost me 2€ with unreadable data... so i lost it and we never play OPF in my friend LAN session *well i can say i enjoy Fade for less cheating in MP, but in some case too much protection is killing the enjoyement*
BoonieRat 0 Posted July 21, 2002 I usually use no~CD patches if I can too. I don't use 1 for OFP for the obvious reason. shame though!, my ole OFP CD looks like torville & Dean have been practising on it!.my Toshiba DVD~CD~ROM does this over an extended period of time. how do you go about getting a replacement CD?. PS. Pauluz. if your CD is a copy you're in the sheet. FADE is probly the only really effective CD protection I've ever seen... if it is legit, what exactly is your problem?. does it crash in the same spot?. end of level?. begining of next?. PauluZ 0 Posted July 21, 2002 My problem is one that I read many people have... It is that I get booted back to my desktop after I leave town with the bike/car etc... (U know, the first 'mission' where u gotta catch the bus, cuz that lameass Tom wont drop u off @ work ) The sollution that worked for most of these peeps was downloading a No-CD from gamecopyworld (so, NO, I dont own an illegal copy)and that was to fix it, however I cant find this NoCD on GCW. THe only thing I could find wasa a fixed exe, but it wont unpack (what I read b4 too) SO thats my problem... can someone tell me where to get the correct NOCD then? Placebo 29 Posted July 21, 2002 Obviously I wasn't clear enough, do NOT talk about nocd cracks on the forums, do NOT talk about making copies of the game for your friends on the forums, any repeat and you will be looking for a new forum to post on. I suggest anyone who cannot find an alternative solution Emails Codemasters' and/or Bis' customer support.
