munger 25 Posted July 20, 2002 I've created a new soundpack for OFP/Resistance but I don't have enough space to host it myself - it's just under 30MB. Would anyone be able to host it for me? Thanks in advance for any offers.

Jester983 0 Posted July 20, 2002 It really isnt about space its about how much bandwith you have. Just keep this in mind. You put up your soundpack (30mb) and someone goes to download it. Well after they finish downloading it theres 30mb of your bandwith. Its also another 30mb when you put it up on the website. Have you tried sending it to Operation Flashpoint CZ or Operation Flashpoint.org They maybe able to help you out.

munger 25 Posted July 20, 2002 Great, thanks a lot Zodiac! I will try to email you the zip file now. The trouble is, I'm not sure it will work. I have to use Outlook Express and also my crappy ISDN connection cuts off after 2 hours (thankyou very much Freeserve) so I don't know if it will upload in time. Only one way to find out though! Sending now...
Placebo 29 Posted July 20, 2002 Munger use winzip or winrar to multispan it (ie split the 30mb file into smaller files eg 6x5mb files) that way you can transfer it easier, if you want I can throw up an FTP so you can upload it to me and I'll distribute it for you with my cable to Zodiac

Jester983 0 Posted July 21, 2002 So what sounds are changed exactly in this?
munger 25 Posted July 21, 2002 Almost all of the standard sounds in OFP have been changed, as well as the Bradley, G36, Steyr and Kozlice effects. It's basically a best-of-the-best pack, with samples chosen both for realism and for quality and general gaming experience. Obviously how people feel about sound effects will vary as it is a matter of personal taste, but I think most people would find this pack a lot better than the standard OFP and Resistance sounds. Why don't you download it and find out for yourself?
