ledgeri 1 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) First of all THANKS FOR THE GAME! My problem: I played in multiplayer, i was in an armored car as gunner. I used thermal mode at Grid 032066 and i shoot to the enemy (infantry) AI what was at 031062. (these number for to calculate distance) the sun was below the horizont. I used maximum of the zoom, while the rain began to fall, ok the thermal mode failed (i tried all other modes but i cant see nothing), but the AI still shoot at me... Ok i tried to change my position while the bullet impacts are fallow me, so the AI still can see me, what is a little bit unrealistic... daze23 1 Posted March 18, 2013 if they're that far away, I think it's safe to say they might be hiding or behind cover such that you don't notice them. ultimately I'm not sure why you would be so quick to assume this was the result of a 'bug', or lack of 'realism', when it could easily just be you. in the future, if you're getting shot at, and you can't see where it's coming from, move somewhere else. don't assume that by some 'gaming standards' you should be able to see them and return fire

After it 25%,50%,75%,100%. The final pictures show, what can i see... I don't think so the humans can see, as the AI can.... so that is why unreal! daze23 1 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) you can link to the pictures. just don't use the 'img' code if it's over 100kb I kinda see what you're saying now. the rain blocks even the thermal with zoom on your end, but the AI can still see and shoot you. you are in a vehicle, and they could just be shooting at you're 'last known position'. but you're probably right, and it's just that the rain isn't effecting their line of site like it is yours. I've noticed similar things at night. I can't use the nightvision with the scope, but the enemy will engage me from very far away. my friendly AI will also see them long before I could but all that is pretty typical of the AI in this game. they see and engage you from very far away. have you tried messing with the 'skill' slider in the editor? Maslofski 10 Posted March 18, 2013 i tried the skill slider and from what i saw it didnt really affected anything, just how much they need to begin to engage.
