zombietampons 1 Posted March 13, 2013 Just wondering? Is there a way to possibly downgrade from the .11. to .5. build? I cannot play anymore than 5 minutes without the server crashing on everyone. I've asked the Admins of the Servers over global and all said pretty much the same thing "the problem came with the update".
CHB68 10 Posted March 13, 2013 Just disable the option in Steam and wait until your game/server will be fixed......and fixed is unfortunately the correct term for the actual development build. Too bad :(
DnA 5154 Posted March 13, 2013 You can switch between default and Development branch any time, and it should only re-download the differences (these do grow as we get further from the latest default branch update obviously).
CHB68 10 Posted March 13, 2013 We did that immediately as we noted that our server was not able to load most of the user made missions (especially coops) anymore, and rockstable clients started to crash even within the game now. And by the way, the texture flickering especially on destroyed buildings became unfortunately worse in that build too. XWot2HtCmoA

zombietampons 1 Posted March 13, 2013 Turning of the Dev Build didn't work for me. Ended up having to turn off the Auto Updates, Op out of the Dev Build, and Delete the Arma3.exe then I had to Verify and Redownload the Arma3.exe....
f2k sel 164 Posted March 13, 2013 Am I reading this correctly there is no way of choosing which build to test?
k3lt 3 Posted March 13, 2013 Am I reading this correctly there is no way of choosing which build to test? Yes there is.. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?149411-How-to-change-between-stable-Arma-3-Alpha-versions-amp-release-candidates-STEAM-client If you want to rollback Stable build, just opt-out from development build and do integrity check in Steam it will rollback the update. But that was not the question. If I got him correctly he would like to choose between different development builds, comparable to the ArmA2 beta patch system. Actually you can roll back to the last stable version only, but you can not choose between different development builds. So it's more or less a "take it or leave it" model. As a matter of fact we all can only hope that the next stable version will be fine. If not..........
f2k sel 164 Posted March 13, 2013 Thanks I guess it's going to make it harder to track down when a bug was introduced as some times they don't get noticed for a few weeks.
kremator 1065 Posted March 20, 2014 Cutting down on a multitude of builds has been fantastic for BIS (and for all of us). There should ONLY be two builds. Latest stable and latest DEV, and nothing more. Problems arise when people decide that they want to use lower version. Tough. In the past, the reason why people want to do this is not for stability reasons but for more 'underhand' reason. Obviously present company excepted.
