Configure startline parameters ingame

Recommended Posts

This thread will probably be spammed away within three minutes...

However, it would be fine to be able to configure startline parameters ingame. Maybe by an input field where you can directly type startline commands into (taking effect at the next game start). Such as:

-nosplash

-world=empty

-noLand

-skipIntro

-showScriptErrors

-cfg=arma2.cfg

-cpuCount=4

-maxMem=8192

Btw, how can you configure such lines in steam games (I never used steam before)?

You can setup one line in Steam (IIRC select properties when right clicking on the game in Steam) but a easier and better way is just to find the arma3.exe and drag a shortcut to the desktop, then add command line parameters just like we do in A2:OA and you are not limited to one setup.

Well, it's not much to it. You just hover your mouse over ArmA 3 Alpha, right click, and select Properties (last option). Click on 'Set launch options', seen here, and write your parameters like you would in a ArmA 2 shotcut (just the parameters of course).

Bare in mind that the parameters you add here will still be included if you make a A3 shortcut with parameters. So you don't really need to add parameters to a shortcut if you've already done it in Steam. Unless of course you want several shortcuts with different parameters, then you might as well keep the Steam launch options clean, and just add the parameters separately to each shortcut.
