IsaacLightning 1 Posted March 9, 2013 (edited) For some reason my game lags although I meet the system requirements. Also, they say that if you can run Arma II you can run Arma III. Well, I run Arma II fine but on Arma III Multiplayer it lags. Not singleplayer though. [frl]myke 14 Posted March 9, 2013 I guess "many other people" do have more powerful rigs. Your PC just barely reaches minimum system requirement, for your GPU i'm not sure if it even fulfills it. Also the point that it is alpha is also valid as the engine isn't optimized yet. Can you please post your ingame video settings, please?
here2peer 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Ur CPU doesn't meet the system requirements and by ur gpu (Apu) is an onboard one, witch doens't meet the system requirements, although its still in alpha there might still be a little hope. Me too, I have a fps of 15 on lowest settings and an fps of 15 on highest settings :/ AMD Phenom II x6 1090T stock 3.4 ghz AMD HD 6870 1005mhz edition 8 gig ram 1333mhz psu: 700 watt Arma 3 alpha system requirements (recommended): CPU Recommended: Intel Core i5-2300 or AMD Phenom II X4 940 or better RAM Recommended: 4 GB Video Card Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7750 with 1 GB VRAM or better Video Card (for minimum) Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT or AMD Radeon HD 3830 or Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 512 MB VRAM CPU (for minimum) Minimum: Intel Dual-Core 2.4 GHz or AMD Dual-Core Athlon 2.5 GHz
Ultros 1 Posted March 9, 2013 I get terrible FPS on this game and I've tried so many things to make it better. It was the same with Arma 2. I just don't know what it is that I need to upgrade for things to run better. Here are my specs: CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz MoBo: ASUS P5G41T-M LX Plus RAM: 4gb GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6750 1gb I just want to know what would help me with my FPS problems. It is getting ridiculous
expensne 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Dito. Very bad performance. On Wasteland about 20 Fps, tried already different tweaks but no difference. Sys: Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.691MHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 @ 2GB 8GB Ram MB: ASRock ZH77 Pro3 64-bit Windows 7 (6.1.7601)

Sys: Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.691MHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 @ 2GB 8GB Ram MB: ASRock ZH77 Pro3 64-bit Windows 7 (6.1.7601) Hi Server load affect client fps somehow, it's an old ArmA2 problem. On some server you'll get an fps cap no matter the tweaks, settings... I get terrible FPS on this game and I've tried so many things to make it better. It was the same with Arma 2. It is getting ridiculous Your computer start to get a bit old... it's a very cpu demanding game and your non-oc'ed Q6600 is probably too weak to run it smooth. I had the same problem with a similar rig in ArmA2, upgrading for an I5 then oc'ing the thing got me a solid fps boost. The game require a few things : 3 core, the more powerful you can get. Avoid Amd cpu since they're really weak in this game, and there is no use of 6-8 core. (Atm the game basically run on 2 core) 1gb of ram (atm, still an alpha) but it probably 4gb when released. (ArmA2 was stuck at 2047, ArmA3 may be large address aware compatible?) Ssd (the game core stream data from your hd. An SSD smooth the game *a lot*) Edited March 9, 2013 by Blaaarg
IsaacLightning 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Well I only lag on multiplayer servers but the other computer at my house doesn't lag on those same servers.
JuggernautOfWar 1 Posted March 9, 2013 Well I only lag on multiplayer servers but the other computer at my house doesn't lag on those same servers. Boy that is sure odd. Must not be the servers then. I bet you anything it is primarily your CPU causing you issues. I just overclocked mine +.6 GHz and I see a world of difference. I need to tone it back a bit though in fear of frying it. However, very low ping works; 0-90 ms = no lag for me 0-150 ms = no lag for other computer o_O
